Updates
10.06.07 - We finally received our wedding album and digital negatives a few days ago!
You can view them in the Photo Album.  If you don't want to sit and look at one picture at a
time, you can see them here as well:

06.13.07 - We've been married for just over 2 months, and we're really falling into married
life with big home improvement projects and trying to make time for friends on the
weekends I don't work.  We've set a date for our NY reception at the Old Library
Restaurant in Olean: Saturday, October 20th at 1pm.  I recently learned that I got time off
for Christmas, so I'll be going home for a week in December!  I can't wait because my
brother and his wife will have a new addition to their family any day now!  And, I want to
see how Danielle likes kindergarten!!  I can't believe she's starting school this year!  Okay,
that's all I've got for now.  Those thank you cards are trickling out, so watch for yours.

03.25.07 - Well, Benjamin and I will be officially married in two weeks.  The time keeps
ticking by so quickly!  The RSVP cards keep streaming in, and we've got a great turnout
so far.  We're very excited to get to see everyone, if only briefly!

I had a gorgeous bridal shower in Houston last weekend, and it was so great to be home
and see family and friends there.  Thanks to everyone who helped with the shower
planning; you did a wonderful job!  And, thanks to the friends and family who went!  I really
enjoyed myself and hope to have more pictures put up soon.  I've put a few that Megan
sent me on the photo album page, so have a look.

Also, thanks to those who attended my bachelorette party and Benjamin's bachelor party!
I know I had an awesome time with good food, great friends, and jacuzzi fun!  Benjamin
says he had a good time, too, in Niagara Falls.

We can't wait to get married and dance with everyone at the reception!  See you there!!

03.02.07 - The first batch of response
cards arrived two days ago, and we
got five more yesterday!  It's so
exciting!!  I can't wait to get home in
the evening to check the mail!  It's like
Christmas!

Also, after talking to Laura for a bit,
Mom was reassured that we could
cook the food ourselves.  I'm so glad
because nobody makes brisket like
my Pawpaw Roy!

02.24.07 - The invitations have been sent, so I hope to start getting RSVPs for a working
head count.  It helps the planning go along smoothly. :o)  We're in full frenzy mode, and
the big day will be here before we know it!  I can hardly wait!  I picked up my dress from
the seamstress today, so it's bustled and ready to go!

Family News: Ashley found out Karina's having a boy!  My vote's for Roman Isaac!!
Jennifer's not been doing so well.  She had surgery recently, and I hope she's feeling
much better.  Baby Caidyn needs her mommy.  I just found out that my cousin Zach and
his wife Tamara had their baby girl, Piper, a few days after Caidyn was born.  Congrats!
My MOH, Megan, got engaged on Valentine's Day!!  Matt, it's about time, brother!

P.S. I've relocated my chatbox from the homepage to the
Contact Us page.

02.10.07 - We're  now less than two months away, and I'm getting really excited!  My girls
are buying their dresses, the tuxes are all on order, and the wedding bands are being
engraved.  I can't wait to get home and see my new little niece Caidyn and my baby Zoe
and Ismael!  I can't wait to see everyone!! I've begun honeymoon planning, too! Happy me!

01.20.07 - The ceremony has been moved to the sanctuary of the First United Methodist
Church on Main Street in Liberty due to my inability to predict the weather.  Yes, I got
nervous! :o)  I also added a printable map and directions to the "Event Info" page.  The
link will open a
Word document.

01.07.07 - Happy New Year, everyone!  Well, this is it.  We've finally entered the year
2007, and I'm biting my nails because I've got exactly 3 months from today before
Benjamin and I are wed.  We've got tons yet to plan, and I'm feeling pretty confident that
we can get things done on time, if not early.  I'd better get back to work!  (Happy birthday,
Jeff!)

12.10.06 - I recently added a chatbox to our homepage so we can communicate with you.
If we are ever online while you are, our chatbox will say "YankeeTexan is online."  All you
have to do is click where it says "edit nickname" and type in your name.  Then, you simply
type a message in the bottom white box and hit enter.  Your message will reach us, and we
can chat with you, assuming we're paying attention to our computer screen! ;o)  Give it a
try next time you see us online!

12.05.06 - Thanksgiving was wonderful!  Benjamin and I went to Texas to see my family
and do some more wedding planning, go figure.  We finally got to see the city hall; It's
gorgeous!  We also met with the florist to discuss the ceremony and reception.  We
booked the United Methodist Church down the street in case it rains.  Whether we use the
sanctuary or smaller chapel will depend on the number of guests.  We also met with a local
DJ and are still deliberating that point.

10.25.06 - The invitations are printed, and the ceremony musicians are booked!

10.16.06 - I finally got the ceremony and reception sites booked!!  It's about time!  Now I
can move on and get those invitations printed!

10.9.06 - It's official...we're finally engaged!  Yes, we do things backwards, but we get
them done, right?! Benjamin gave me a proper proposal at 7am on Saturday, October 7,
2006, in the backyard of our new home! He was so cute!  Have a look at the new pics in
the photo album!

09.11.06 - Benjamin and I went to Mark and Molly's house for the weekend and talked
Mark into taking a few pictures of us because we haven't taken any in so long.  We've
added them to our "Photo Album" page.  Take a look and admire our gorgeous summer
tans!  I also updated the pic of me on the "About Us" page because my friend Christian
said the one before was too glamorous and didn't look like the
real me! ha!  Thanks,
Christian, for the honest advice!

08.31.06 - I FINALLY got the rates for the city hall!  I've been trying for 4 months now to
book the new city hall in Liberty for the reception, but they've been putting it off because
its construction is not yet complete.  I wanted to get married right in Liberty because it'll
always be my home, no matter how unglamorous it is.  I think the new city hall looks great,
and it will definitely be sufficient for a reception.  Now, if they would just start taking
reservations!

07.23.06 - Benjamin and I just got back to Syracuse
from a week and a half vacation in TX.  We were
visiting my family and frantically getting some initial
wedding details pinned down.  The greatest thing
we accomplished was deciding on the cake
fillings...mmmmm!  The majority of the time, we
stayed at Ashley's house so we could help Karina
with Baby Zoe, as Ismael likes to refer to his new
baby sister.  She's too sweet!  I just hope she grows
out of looking like her father!
(You know I love you, Ashley!)
